All 30 teams are in action in the MLB on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021. That means we have plenty of great value spots, so let’s take a look at the odds and free betting picks for Wednesday’s games.

Baltimore Orioles +160 New York Mets -185 Total: 8

The Orioles’ Matt Harvey will get to face his former team at Citi Field in this one. The Mets’ Taijuan Walker is definitely beatable, and I am a bit puzzled as to why the Mets are such heavy favorites in this spot. I will take the Orioles and the plus money here.

Pick: Baltimore Orioles +160

Cincinnati Reds -160 Pittsburgh Pirates +140 Total: 7.5

The Reds’ Sonny Gray is still looking for his first win of the season and I think he gets it against these Pirates. Pittsburgh’s Trevor Cahill is still struggling this season and the bullpen has not been the sharpest either. The Reds are plainly the better bet in my eyes.

Pick: Cincinnati Reds -160

Chicago Cubs -110 Cleveland Indians -110 Total: 9

Both the Cubs’ Zach Davies and the Indians’ Sam Hentges have not been sharp this season, and I think this game comes down to the bullpens. I think we see lots of runs from both sides, so I like the over in this contest.

Pick: Over 9 runs

San Diego Padres -160 Colorado Rockies +140 Total: 6.5 (Game One)

As of now, Yu Darvish is the projected game one starter for the Padres, while Jon Gray is projected to go for the Rockies. Updates will be made if anything changes, but I like the Padres on the run-line regardless. San Diego could very well sweep this doubleheader, as the Rockies do not look sharp as of late. (Check back soon for updates)

Pick: San Diego Padres -1.5

New York Yankees -200 Tampa Bay Rays +170 Total: 7

The Yankees’ Gerrit Cole is the projected starter and he has been fantastic as of late. Cole is 4-1 with a 1.61 ERA this season and should be able to clinch a series win for the Bronx Bombers. I like the Yankees on the run-line here.

Pick: New York Yankees -1.5

Philadelphia Phillies -138 Washington Nationals +118 Total: 8.5

The Nationals’ Jon Lester was not the sharpest in his last start against the Braves and I think he is going to be out-matched on Wednesday. The Phillies’ Zack Wheeler can work deep into games and that gives his team the edge in this one.

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -138

San Diego Padres -154 Colorado Rockies +134 Total: 8 (Game Two)

Game two’s projected starters are the Padres’ Blake Snell and the Rockies’ Austin Gomber. I think the Rockies are in trouble in this series, as stated before, and I do think the Padres will take care of business in both games.

Pick: San Diego Padres -1.5

Kansas City Royals -150 Detroit Tigers +130 Total: 8

We have seen the highs and lows of the Tigers’ Casey Mize this season, as he still has control issues. I do see Mize pitching well in this start, giving his team a chance to win. Both of these team’s bullpens are not the sharpest on paper or on the field, so I think the Tigers are the better play based on value.

Pick: Detroit Tigers +130

Toronto Blue Jays -115 Atlanta Braves -105 Total: 8.5

I am not convinced with the Braves’ Max Fried and the Atlanta bullpen this season. The Blue Jays have been the better team and Ryu should put them in a great position to win this game on the road. I like Toronto here.

Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -115

Oakland Athletics +130 Boston Red Sox -150 Total: 9.5

The Athletics’ James Kaprielian was once a touted prospect, but the 27-year-old has only pitched in 3.2 major league innings. We know both teams’ offenses, but I give the Red Sox the edge with Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump.

Pick: Boston Red Sox -150

St. Louis Cardinals +130 Milwaukee Brewers -150 Total: 7

We have a premier pitching matchup with two pitchers that have done well in 2021. The Brewers’ Brandon Woodruff and supporting bullpen are a lot more reliable in my opinion, so I lean Milwaukee’s way in the second game of this series.

Pick: Milwaukee Brewers -150

Los Angeles Angels -105 Houston Astros -115 Total: 8.5

I think this is the spot where the Angels take down the Astros on the road. The Astros have been fantastic at home in recent years, but I think the Angels’ Andrew Heaney and the Angels’ fiery bats take the third game of this series.

Pick: Los Angeles Angels -105

Minnesota Twins +105 Chicago White Sox -125 Total: 8.5

The Twins have been the biggest disappointment in the MLB this year, but I still think they have a very talented lineup. We know the White Sox are no strangers to scoring runs, so I think the strongest play in this one is on the over. Neither starting pitcher excites me in this spot and I am not in love with either team’s bullpen either. Expect an offensive shootout on Wednesday.

Pick: Over 8.5 runs

Miami Marlins +105 Arizona Diamondbacks -125 Total: 7.5

We have yet another great pitching matchup to watch on Wednesday as the Marlins’ Trevor Rogers and the D-Backs’ Zac Gallen face off. I think both teams struggle to score in this one, hence the very low total of 7.5. I like the under in this contest. UPDATE: Trevor Rogers has been scratched and a bullpen game will be used by the Marlins. The pick remains under 7.5 runs.

Pick: Under 7.5 runs

Seattle Mariners +205 Los Angeles Dodgers -240 Total: 8

I am going to take a shot with the heavy dog in the Mariners here. Getting more than 2/1 on our money is too good of a spot to pass up, as the Mariners and Dodgers’ records are only separated by a single game this season. I think the Mariners stand a chance and +205 odds sound good to me.

Pick: Seattle Mariners +205
