Boston Red Sox (29-27) vs Tampa Bay Rays (40-18)

I watched Tyler Glasnow's first start of the season against the Dodgers and I made the decision during that game that I would take a hard look at him in his next start. His next start is tonight and I will gladly play him at this fairly low price. His stuff was electric against LA. He struck out 8 batters in 4.1 innings and he pitched with confidence. Sure, the Dodgers scattered 5 hits including a home run but that stat line does not tell the full story. I look for Glasnow to come back with a very strong outing tonight in Boston. He will need his good stuff as the Red Sox do hit right handed pitchers well. Having said that, I am extremely confident Glasnow is up for the challenge.
As mentioned, the Red Sox do hit righties well. However, the Rays are #1 in the league in OPS .805 against righties and I look for them to hit Whitlock just like they did back on April 11th. In that outing, Whitlock allowed 8 hits and 5 earned runs -- including 3 home runs -- in just 5.0 innings of work. To his credit, he has pitched better as of late but this is a tough matchup for him tonight. Not only does he face the Rays lineup but he faces a motivated Glasnow.
I love this spot for Tampa Bay and I don't mind laying this number.
Take Tampa Bay
Best of luck -- Mike
