Binghamton Bearcats (2-5) vs Marist Red Foxes (3-4)

Binghamton returns home for the first time in December and the Bearcats are showing improvement under interim head coach Levell Sanders. Binghamton's offense is extremely well-balanced with four players scoring in double-digits, led by junior guard Tyler Bertram (11.6 ppg, who ranks second in the America East Conference in 3-point shooting (40%). Sophomore guard John McGriff, a transfer from St. John's, is adding 11.2 points and 3.0 assists per game. Binghamton's 2-5 record is misleading in that it has played without at least one injured or ill starter in six of its seven games this season. Starting guard Dan Petcash (11.3 ppg.) missed four games with an injury, while McGriff (11.2 ppg.) and starting center Ogheneyole Akuwovo (6.8 ppg., 4.8 rpg.) both missed last Saturday's game against Boston. It looks like McGriff and Akuwovo will be back for tonight's game as neither player is listed on the team's injury report. Akuwovo has the best plus/minus rating on the Bearcats with a +8 mark this season. Petcash was injured at the end of Saturday's game and I've read conflicting reports about his status for tonight's contest. However, Binghamton possesses a deep backcourt that has 6-6 point guard Kellen Amos (10.0 ppg), who is shooting 50.0% from the field and 39.1% from beyond the arc, and Gardner Webb junior transfer Jacob Falko, who is second on the team in rebounds and is averaging 28.4 minutes per game. Junior guard Hakon Hjalmarsson scored a season-high 18 points (4-of-6 3-PT) in Saturday's 68-63 loss to Boston. Finally, my math model only favors Marist by 1.76 points in this game after taking into account the potential absence of Petcash and the Bearcats are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a loss. Grab the points with Binghamton and invest with confidence.
