Philadelphia Phillies (98-78) vs Houston Astros (114-58)

Everybody and their brother is going to be on the Houston Astros here, as they have a clear pitching edge, and they're fresh off a no-hitter. However, momentum is only a thing until it's not, and it changes all the time in a series. As good as Justin Verlander is, he has a 6.07 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 43 World Series innings. The Phillies' bullpen is well rested, so don't expect Noah Syndergaard to go deep into this game. He'll get pulled the first sign of trouble. The Philadelphia Phillies have yet to lose back to back games this postseason, and they've lost back to back games just once since September 30. Give me the Phillies and the plus money.
