South Carolina is coming off two blowout wins but we can still get great value on the Gamecocks because of their opponent. Vandy has taken the nation by storm with its upset wins and comeback stories, but South Carolina is the far better football team here in most facets of the game. While Vandy has a special teams edge, I don't think it will be enough to compete for four quarters. South Carolina has an elite defense with a top-10 pass defense in terms of efficiency and a run D that holds opponents to under 3.0 ypc! South Carolina's offense and offensive line in particular has been the big problem and has held SC back this year, but all of a sudden the Gamecocks have scored 79 points in the last two games against much tougher defenses than Vandy, and the OL did not surrender a single sack last week. I think South Carolina suffocates Vandy here, and while you could mention that this is a letdown spot for SC after crushing A&M, the same goes for Vandy which upset Auburn to clinch a bowl spot. Give me South Carolina.
