Southern Jaguars (10-8) vs Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (1-16)

Mississippi Valley State is no longer the worst team in the country according to KenPom, as the Delta Devils have jumped over Deleware State and IUPUI for the time being. This is the best we have seen MVSU in a while, but that does not mean much here. Southern is the perfect foil to MVSU, as not only is Southern fantastic at forcing turnovers and defending the three-point line, but the Jaguars are one of the top shooting teams in the conference and 24th in three-point shooting in the nation. Southern's ability to make 37.6% of its threes gives the Jags a huge advantage in this one, as Mississippi Valley State is ranked dead last in the country, 358th, in three-point defense. Southern has not lost a single home game all season long, going 5-0 to start. Southern is coming off a dismantling win over Pine Bluff by 48 points and although I don't think this game will get that ugly, it is not out of the cards. In last year's only matchup between these two teams, Southern won in a very, very close one 102-61. Sarcasm aside, I think Southern is the play here and this line is a few points short because of the overperforming we have seen from MVSU this year. I will lay the lumber here and I expect a blowout.
