NKU is in a good spot in my opinion as the road dog. NKU's first game vs. a D1 team this year was vs. Kent State and that was in a game where there were many outlier performances. Kent State shot 13-24 from three (54.2%) and NKU shot a measly 5-27 (18.5%). Kent State also had a much better 2-pt FG percentage, but the game, in the end, was not as lopsided as what it could have been. NKU dominated the offensive glass, earning 19 offensive rebounds and only allowing 9. NKU also took care of the basketball and got off a lot of good looks, but plainly did not have its shooters that night. NKU is an experienced team, playing a tough, regional opponent in Cincinnati so the NKU crowd should certainly be there in full force tonight. NKU has plenty of shooters and offense to go around and I do not trust Cincinnati's offense enough to lay this many points in a tough road game. I think Cincinnati is on upset alert and I like NKU to at least keep this game close.
