The Indians take on the Reds at Great American Ballpark for game one of a four-game series.

The pitching matchup on paper may seem as if this game should be a pitchers duel, but I think the Reds have the advantage. Sonny Gray has not only been fantastic this season, he has been great in his entire time in Cincy. Gray should be able to virtually control this Indians lineup, a lineup that has struggled to score runs all season long. Cleveland has only scored more than five runs once the entire season, which is not a recipe for success against Gray. Look for Gray to keep the Indians in check for the majority of the game.

Also, although Plesac had a great season debut, I am not completely on board with his style of pitching. Plesac had a bad FIP and xFIP last season, which shows that he may be due to show some regression. In a Great American stadium where the ball seems to fly, I expect Plesac to struggle just a tad. He may not be awful, but I see the Reds scoring just enough for Gray to take care of the rest.

Take the Reds to win this game.
