Pittsburgh Pirates (38-61) vs Milwaukee Brewers (58-42)

There is a reason why the Pirates are +110 in the full game yet -115 in the first five innings, the books (nor myself) trust the Pirates' bullpen. We are fading Brett Anderson in this one, a pitcher that I believe needs to be in the minors. Brett Anderson has 5.53 strikeouts per nine and has allowed 2.68 walks per nine with 1.26 home runs per nine. Brett Anderson has a 4.26 ERA but a 6.42 expected ERA, which tells you the real story. Tyler Anderson of the Pirates may not look pretty on the mound, but he usually gets the job done for Pittsburgh. Both the Pirates and Brewers struggle against left-handed pitching, so I do not think either team has an edge there. Where we have the edge is this pitching matchup, as Brett Anderson is more than capable of being shelled at any moment. Even without Adam Frazier in the lineup, I think the Pirates take the early lead in this one. I think Milwaukee makes a comeback late to win the full game, so that is why we are taking the Pittsburgh Pirates in the FIRST FIVE INNINGS.
