Los Angeles Angels (50-49) vs Colorado Rockies (43-57)

Sometimes, you have to roll with the public. Although I try to fade the public as much as possible, I think they are right in this contest. We know that the Rockies are a completely different team on the road than they are at home. That can be seen in the hitting numbers especially. Colorado is ranked #3 in team OPS against left-handed pitching at home this season, but 29th in the league on the road. Those splits are the reason why the Rockies are 10-37 away from home this season. The Angels are a game over .500 on the year but six games over at home. LAA is the #1 ranked team OPS against left-handed pitching at home this season and it is not even close. Los Angeles brings a lefty to the mound in Jose Suarez, while the Rockies also send a lefty in the form of Austin Gomber tonight. Gomber has been good this season but he has a very low BABIP at .234, which tells me that he is getting a bit lucky on the mound. Jose Suarez has a lot smaller sample size with similar numbers. I think the Angels' bats at home are the difference-maker tonight. LAA has won four of their last five and the pitching staff has done a tremendous job during that stretch. I will take the Angels on the money line here.
