Chicago White Sox (60-42) vs Cleveland Indians (50-49)

I rarely lay the run line with home teams, but this is an exception I am willing to make. This is a mismatch if I have ever seen one. Lance Lynn has been exactly what the White Sox needed this season. A starter that can get out of jams and pitch a lot of innings. Lynn is known for his ability to pitch well in pressure-filled moments, and that has certainly been the case in 2021. On the other side, J.C. Mejia has really struggled for the Indians. Mejia has a 7.52 ERA and a 5.27 FIP this season. Mejia's biggest issue is the number of walks and home runs he allows, as he does strike out a good amount of hitters. Mejia allowed three home runs and two walks in 6.0 innings against the Rays in his last outing, an 8-2 Indians loss. I think the White Sox bats are going to do some damage early and often. The loss of Cesar Hernandez from the Indians' lineup is going to be seen as we move towards the end of the season. With a weak lineup and a weaker starting pitcher, I think the Indians are in trouble so I will lay the -1.5 with Chicago to make the price a lot more enticing.
