Kansas City Royals (26-45) vs Texas Rangers (34-37)

The Texas Rangers ML is my MLB Best Bet for Tuesday, June 28th. Jon Gray has been pitching well for Texas and the Royals have not hit righties very well in the past month, ranked 27th in isolated power and 26th in team OPS. Gray has a modest 4.18 ERA but an even better 3.61 xFIP as he is missing bats and limiting home runs. In Gray's most recent starts, he is also limiting walks which was something really hurting him in the past. The Rangers get to face Jonathan Heasley, someone I believe will regress a lot as the season continues. Heasley owns a 4.14 ERA but an atrocious 5.52 FIP and 5.24 xFIP. Heasley is in the bottom 20th percentile in most important hitting metrics, does not strike out a lot of batters, walks a ton of batters, and is very susceptible to the home run ball. The Rangers have not hit righties as well as they have lefties, but Texas still has decent numbers offensively against RHP in the last 30 days as they are in the top half of the league in team OPS and wRC+. The Rangers' bullpen has been good this season and even though I do think it will regress tremendously as the season continues, I think this is a case where the Rangers will own too much of a lead to be worried about the bullpen blowing it. I like the Rangers to earn the victory on the road in this one, so give me Texas on the moneyline. Good luck everyone and thank you for your support!
