Houston Astros (73-41) vs Oakland Athletics (41-72)

The Astros have seen Cole Irvin a lot recently and I think the third time around in the last month will provide Houston a monster day at the dish and another home run line cover. Irvin is a pitch-to-contact guy, yet his barrel %, average exit velo, and hard-hit% have not been very good in 2022. Irvin has a poor xERA and xFIP for a reason and he is now allowing some home runs as of late, which is very concerning for a ground ball pitcher. The Astros are crushing lefties as of late, as Houston is 6th in team OPS and 3rd in isolated power vs. southpaws in the last month. I think the Astros' offense is too much for Oakland to handle, as even if the A's find a few long balls on Javier (which I expect at least one to be allowed) I don't think it will be enough in the end. The Astros are playing like the best team in the AL by far and I don't see any reason to believe they do not dominate this ballgame as well.
