The price we are getting to fade David Peterson is right for me. Peterson has definitely upped his game in the strikeout department, but his control is always a big concern as he was walking batters left and right in spring and has had a high BB/9 throughout his career. Because of the Quintana and Verlander injuries, Peterson gets to start the year at the MLB level and in the rotation, but I look for the Marlins to get to him for a few runs. Neither of these teams hit LHP well last year, but I liked what I saw from Jesus Luzardo in 2022 and in spring. Luzardo has good strikeout stuff and should be able to keep the Mets' bats down. The Marlins disappointed us on Thursday, but it was still a game where the Fish had a 4-1 advantage in the extra-base hit department (and I wouldn't even call Nimmo's double a true double, as Jazz Chisholm played the ball horribly in center). Give me Miami at this great price.
