Ron's NFL Sunday Total of the Week
Las Vegas Raiders (3-5) vs New York Giants (2-6)

When you look at this game on the surface you think about how bad both of these offenses have been this season, but I actually expect a high-scoring game in this one, or at least more scoring than these teams are used to. Daniel Jones is back and while Giants fans have their criticisms of him, he is still a big upgrade over Devito or Taylor. The Raiders are known around the league as a defensive juggernaut that just can’t seem to get things going offensively, but that is not true in my opinion. This Raiders defense is not very strong and we just saw the Lions move the ball and score with absolute ease on MNF this week. Detroit just earned about 500 yards on LV and while that is the Lions, any NFL defense giving up 500 yards to any team is atrocious. I think Daniel Jones and company move the ball easily against this overrated defense. On the other end, while NYG has stepped up defensively as of late, we can’t forget that this team is three weeks removed from giving up over 500 yards to Miami and can certainly struggle on the defensive side as well. With a whole new offensive system coming to LV, I expect the Raiders to find ways to get Davante Adams the ball. A new OC is exactly the fresh start LV needs on offense and I expect decent-to-good things from O’Connell and the Raiders here. Josh Jacobs should also have a big day, as the G-Men concede just under 5.0 YPC to opposing ground games on the year. Give me the over, as this total is plainly far too low.
