The Devils' defensive metrics have not been great as of late. Granted, NJ was in the midst of a tough Western Conference road trip, but the expected goals against numbers are concerning for a team that already has had goaltending problems from time to time, and now has to face a Penguins' offense that is always lethal. Pittsburgh itself has had issues defensively and the Devils' high-powered offense should get plenty of high-danger chances in this game, especially on the PP and at home. I think the winner of this game is a coin flip, and I'd lean toward Pittsburgh since you are getting +120 right now. The better pick for me is on the over, as I think whoever wins this game will win it in the 5-4, 4-3 range as this sets up to be a shootout between two of the Metro's best offenses. Give me the over.
