Miami Marlins (22-41) vs Cleveland Guardians (40-22)

This is a play on the CLEVELAND GUARDIANS as part of our MLB Afternoon Triple Play. The Guardians killed us Friday in what was one of the best splits matchups we have seen this seen, lefty vs. lefty, as they lost 3-2 and while we only one half of that today, we will back them again here following an 8-0 shutout win yesterday. Cleveland improved to 20-14 on the road and while t has been up and down overall of late, it still has a three-game lead over Kansas City in the American League Central with the Royals having won three straight games. Miami has been shutout in three of its last six games while scoring just three runs in two of the other games. The Marlins have one of the worst offenses in baseball as they are ahead of only the White Sox in OPS and runs scored and they are fourth worst in xwOBA at .303. Carlos Carrasco has had his struggles this season but he has allowed three runs or less in seven of his 10 starts. While he has a 5.76 road ERA, that is due to one bad outing at Houston where he allowed eight runs, five of which came on two home runs. Take that away and his road ERA drops to 3.85 and his overall WHIP on the road is still a solid 1.28. This is where Cleveland should keep the offense rolling as it faces Trevor Rogers who has been just as bad overall but has been more inconsistent as opposed to just a few bad outings. He has a 5.68 ERA and 1.754 WHIP in 12 starts and his seven home starts are right in line with those number. The Guardians are 12-4 against lefty starters, averaging 5.7 rpg. 10* (977) Cleveland Guardians
