BIG AL's MLB ELITE INFO WINNER!

At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Guardians over the Texas Rangers.  The Guardians' second-half swoon continues as the Yanks finished off the recent series with a 6-0 shutout on Thursday.  Cleveland has now lost 12 of its last 18 games and the fact that the Guardians are still in first place in the AL Central is a testament to how great they played in the first half of the season.  Tonight they hope to start a new win streak as they welcome the Rangers into town for a three-game series.  Cleveland will send its one true ace to the mound tonight in RHP Tanner Bibee.  The 25-year-old 2nd-year starter is having a strong campaign with a 10-5 record, 3.33 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 144 strikeouts in 132 1/3 innings.  But most important is the fact that when Bibee goes to the mound, the Guardians usually win as they have been victorious in seven of his last 10 outings (and four of his last five).  And Bibee threw 5 1/3 shutout innings against this Rangers club, allowing just three hits back on May 13 in a 7-0 Cleveland victory.  Take the Guardians.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
