BIG AL's MLB HIGH ROLLER WINNER (7-1 RUN)

At 7:15 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia Phillies over the Atlanta Braves.  The Phillies and Braves have split the first two games of this series with the visitors dominating last night here at Citizens Bank Park and coming away with an easy 7-2 win.  Now the rotations reset for Game 3 with aces Max Fried and Zack Wheeler going for the Braves and Phillies respectively.  With a 12-6 record through 26 starts this season, Wheeler has an excellent chance of tying or surpassing his career high in wins -- 14 -- which he logged in 2021.  Along with those dozen victories, the 34-year-old RHP has also posted a very nice 2.74 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 176 strikeouts in 160 2/3 innings.  Wheeler was an All-Star for the second time in his career and for good reason.  Tonight will be Wheeler's third start of 2024 against the Braves and although he is looking for his first win of the season against them he has posted a 1.50 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 12 innings thus far.  For his career vs. Atlanta, Wheeler is 12-8 with a 3.07 ERA in 29 regular season starts covering 182 innings.  Take Philly.  As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
