Montreal Canadiens (23-19-4) vs Tampa Bay Lightning (25-17-3)

At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Montreal Canadiens. These two teams met less than a month ago in Tampa with the Canadiens pulling off an upset, 5-2. The Lightning only managed 23 shots in that game and that's been a problem for them off and on all season. They'll be traveling from Toronto where they lost last night to the Maple Leafs but at least managed a decent amount of shots (30 to the Leafs' 28). Look for the Bolts to come out firing tonight against a team they've been dominating recently despite that December result. Tampa had some key injuries earlier in the season but is pretty healthy now and that's a good thing as the Bolts try to hold on to the last non-Wild Card spot in the Atlantic Division. The Habs have allowed more than 3.2 goals per game here at home this season while scoring at a rate under 3.0. That could be a big problem for them tonight as the Bolts have the highest road goals-for average in the league at 3.65. Tampa has won seven of the last nine meetings, including four of the last five. Take the Lightning. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
