North Carolina Tar Heels / Pittsburgh Panthers – Over 73.5
The North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers this Thursday night and as I expect this game to combine for 80 points, I think the Over has no issue hitting in this one.
North Carolina comes into this game averaging 38.9 ppg on 488.8 total yards per game and we saw how explosive the offense can be with Sam Howell under center after the Tar Heels upset Wake Forest by a 58-55 margin last week. The Tar Heels come into this game ranked 9th in total offense and have a balanced offensive attack that ranks 20th in rushing offense & 29th in passing offense.
As good as North Carolina has been on the offensive end, Pittsburgh has been even better as the Panthers come into this game averaging 45.0 ppg on 543.1 total yards per game. Pittsburgh has arguably the best QB in College Football this season in Kenny Pickett who has Pittsburgh ranked 5th in College Football in passing offense.
Over is 7-1 ATS in the Tar Heels last 8 games as a road underdog and 5-0 in the Tar Heels last 5 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. Over is 4-0 in the Panthers last 4 games and 7-1 in the Panthers last 8 home games.
I expect both offenses to put up plenty of points in what should be a shoot-out and as I expect both teams to put up 40+ points in this one, I think the Over hits with ease tonight. Good Luck!
