The Iona Gaels will take on the North Alabama Lions tonight and I like the Gaels to win this one by 15+ and that they cover this spread.

Iona is a perfect 4-0 to start the season and continued their impressive start with a 54-50 victory over a very talented Liberty team last night. Iona has also picked up solid victories against Hofstra & Harvard to start the season and has been solid on both ends of the court.

Northern Alabama is coming off a tough 55-51 loss at Manhattan in which they offense shot just 31.6% from the field and didn’t look great earlier this season against top-tier competition as the Lions lost by a 26-point margin at Mississippi State.

The Gaels are 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 neutral stie games & 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. The Lions are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Rick Pitino did a great job in getting transfers Tyson Jolly & Elijah Joiner in the offseason to go along with arguably the best player in the MAAC in Nelly Junior Joseph and as I think the Gales will dominate Northern Alabama on both ends of the court in this one, I think the Gaels are the clear play here.
