Philadelphia Phillies -130
Philadelphia is playing some great baseball as of late and have one of the best matchups on the slate going against the RHP Wil Crowe of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Crowe comes into this game with a 5.77 ERA & 1.58 WHIP on the season and has even struggled on more on the road this season as in 11 starts, he has posted a 6.53 ERA while allowing opponents to hit .295. Crowe is a reverse splits pitcher who has had a bunch of issues with RHB’s, allowing them to post a .303 average & .922 OPS.
Philadelphia is currently in the thick of the NL East race as they currently sit just 1.5 games back from the Atlanta Braves. Philadelphia has won 8 of their last 10 games and has had no trouble putting up runs against the Pirates in this season, putting up a combined 20 runs over their last two games.
Philadelphia knows that if they are going to make the playoffs, they need to take advantage of these easy matchups and as I see the bats coming out strong again tomorrow, I think the Phillies do enough to win this one by at least a few runs and cover this run line.
Brett’s Pick Philadelphia Phillies: -1.5 -130
