Houston Texans +5.5
The Houston Texans will travel to Hard Rock Stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins and I’m loving taking the Texans here getting 5.5 points.
Houston has really struggled this season as they have dropped 7 straight since opening their season with a 37-21 victory over the Jaguars, however, the Texans do get Tyrod Taylor back under this weekend which I think is going to help this Texans offense put up some points.
Taylor looked outstanding to start the season before suffering a hamstring injury and I think that the Texans should not have problems putting up points against a Miami defense that is allowing their opponents to average 29.1 ppg on 419.5 total yards per game (303.8 passing yds/g; 115.8 rushing yds/g).
The Texans are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game. The Dolphins are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
Miami has had a disappointing season, which included a lost against Jacksonville, and as I think that Houston’s offense will be able to at worse keep it close against a Miami offense that hasn’t shown much this season, I think the play here is to take the Texans and the points.
