Texas has been one of the best teams in the country this season at 11-2, but this Longhorns team has not been very good against the spread, going 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Meanwhile, Oklahoma comes into this one winners of three straight with covers In 6 of their last 7 games and are fresh off of a big time win over Kansas. Granted, Texas beat Kansas by 25 to start 2021, but this is still a tough Sooners team that’s disciplined and doesn’t take silly fouls. The other X-factor for me here is Texas coach Shaka Smart testing positive for COVID-19. He’s not on the court, but he brings a certain level of energy that’s almost unmatched in the college ranks that get his guys up and has them buying into his style of play. I think no Shaka on the bench is going to have its effect on this Longhorns team and I think Oklahoma takes this down to the wire, if not win it outright so I’ll take Oklahoma and the points as my premium pick for this game.
