I was capping this game between Eastern Michigan/Akron trying to make a case for the Eagles and the points and I simply can’t. This Eastern Michigan team is not very good, losing four straight games against D-I opposition and doing so by double-digits each time. As a matter of fact, all of Eastern Michigan’s losses in conference have come by double digits while their 4 wins have been against 3 subdivision teams and this same Akron team. So why am I backing Akron here? The Zips want revenge for that game and are outscoring teams by 16.2 PPG at home this season while Eastern Michigan’s being outscored by 18.7 PPG on the road this year and allowing 86.5 PPG away from home. The Eagles are also giving up 83.6 PPG in conference play this season. I see this being a revenge spot for Akron who will make it five straight wins and five straight covers with a big time win here so I’ll lay the points with the Zips as my premium pick for this game.
