I get the case to be made for an underdog in some spots, but this isn’t one of them. Texas A&M-CC is the better team on both ends of the floor and they boast one of the stingiest defenses in the Southland conference this season. The Islanders are also heating up at the right time with a five-game win streak, with all five wins coming by double figures. The Islanders also can lock up second place and a double-bye in the conference tournament if they win out. New Orleans is coming off of a win, but they’ve lost 11 of their last 13 games and the bulk of those were by double digits. This is also a revenge game for the Islanders who lost by 3 at New Orleans earlier this season and the Islanders are also tied for the 2nd-best ATS win percentage in the country at 18-6-1/75% this season. New Orleans’ defense can’t stop a nosebleed, allowing 77+ in 12 of their last 14 games, and their terrible offense isn’t enough to make up for that deficiency against the Islanders. Give me Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
