In past years, if you gave me Madison Bumgarner and this much plus money, I’d have been on it like white on rice. However, the former ace has fallen on hard times, giving up at least five earned runs in each of his last three starts and while the Nationals aren’t the most imposing lineup and Stephen Strasburg got shelled in his last start, it’s more of an anomaly from Strasburg. It’s now a pattern with Bumgarner. I’ll back the Nationals on the run line here.
