You may think I’m nuts for betting against the Mets with Jacob deGrom on the mound, but realistically, deGrom is the only reason the Mets should be laying this price against any team and the Cardinals are playing too well to ignore the plus money here. The issue for deGrom still remains that he has a hard time getting run support from this inconsistent Mets lineup and the Cardinals are good enough that a couple of runs may end up being the difference. If the Cards and give themselves a chance past deGrom and get to the shaky New York bullpen, I like the Cardinals chances. Give me St. Louis and all that sweet plus money on Tuesday.
