Los Angeles Dodgers (46-28) vs San Diego Padres (46-31)

I don’t love the Dodgers as much as some folks, but like all sports betting, it’s all about picking your spots and I think we have a great one here. Blake Snell goes for the Padres, posting an 0-5 record and 5.60 ERA this season, but the Padres are actually 0-7 as a team in Snell’s starts and Snell has allowed four earned runs in three of his last four starts, and each of Snell’s last four starts and six of his seven starts, the Padres have lost by two runs. That’s not good with Tony Gonsolin on the other side, who has emerged as the staff ace of the Dodgers this season, and while the 9-0 record and 1.58 ERA aren’t sustainable long-term, he’s also 5-0 with a 0.81 ERA at home this season, including a .118 opponent batting average. I think all of those trends continue and as such, I’ll back the Dodgers -1.5 here.
