Boston Red Sox (49-50) vs Milwaukee Brewers (55-44)

The Red Sox managed to eke one out over the Guardians on Thursday, but I’m not overly optimistic about their chances in Friday’s game. Brayan Bello was called up a few starts ago, and it’s been a disaster ever since, allowing 14 runs over 12 innings for a 10.50 ERA with the Red Sox unsurprisingly going 0-3 in his starts and losing those by a combined margin of 25-10. Brandon Woodruff goes for the Brewers here and while Woodruff still sports a road ERA north of five, he’s been much better in his recent road starts. In his last five road appearances, Woodruff has a 2.13 ERA. The Red Sox feel like a team that’s headed for a near .500 season and a 4th or maybe even 5th place finish in the AL East, while the Brewers have their sights set on the NL Central title and surely have the pieces to get there. This price isn’t all that bad to fade Bello here so give me Milwaukee.
