I can understand why a lot of folks would jump at the over here, considering the offensive onslaught that the Dodgers put on the Rockies on Thursday. However, there’s a solid pitching matchup brewing in Colorado with Julio Urias going for the Dodgers with his 2.72 ERA and Urias has really turned things around after a bumpy start to the year. On the other side, Chad Kuhl goes for the Rockies and while Kuhl’s had issues in July, with a 9.00 ERA over four starts, the reality is that he pitches better at Coors with a 3.52 ERA and .249 opponent batting average this season. Kuhl also threw a complete game shutout last time he faced this Dodgers lineup at home. I’m not going to bank on that happening again, but this line is too high for a game that I fully expect to stay in single digits. Kuhl’s start against the Dodgers at home finished 4-0, while Urias’ most recent start against the Rox finished 5-3. I think something similar to the latter could be on the cards in this one so give me the under in this one.
