Houston Astros (65-35) vs Seattle Mariners (54-46)

The Mariners were hot going into the break but got swept by the Astros coming out of it and just when you thought the Mariners might come out for some revenge, the fact starts to set in that the Astros look like they own the Mariners right now, with five straight wins, all by at least two runs. Chris Flexen’s done a good job turning his season around and he has solid numbers against the Astros this season, buthe’s 0-2 in his starts at Minute Maid Park this season and the Mariners have lost those games 4-0 and 4-1. At a certain point, the solid play, it just doesn’t matter and the Astros are not a team I’m looking to step in front of right now. Framber Valdez has allowed two earned runs or less in four of his last six starts at home and with the way the Astros are hitting, that’ll likely be more than enough for a win and cover of the -1.5 run line here.
Chris’s Pick Houston Astros: -1.5 +105
