New York Yankees (69-33) vs Kansas City Royals (39-62)

I get that this is a hefty price for the Yankees, but the reality here is that the Yankees have been the better team by a fair margin for the last game and a half. Now Zack Greinke’s allowed one run or less in four of his last six starts, but all of those four starts came at home. The other two, part of a disastrous run for Greinke on the road this season as Greinke owns a 7.38 road ERA this season and has allowed 26 earned runs in his last five road starts over 21.1 innings of work for a 10.97 ERA. The Royals have also lost the last 4 road starts by Greinke, all on the run line with Greinke posting a 10.70 ERA in that stretch. The Yankees won’t make life any easier for Greinke and while Jordan Montgomery isn’t the kind of pitcher I want to associate with this kind of line, the Royals just don’t have the pieces to take advantage of what the Yankees are going to bring here. Give me the Yankees on the run line big in Sunday’s matchup.
