Chicago White Sox (51-51) vs Kansas City Royals (41-62)

The White Sox absolutely teed off on the Royals on Tuesday, but I’m not expecting the same result here. Lance Lynn’s really struggled since debuting this season, boasting a 6.42 ERA, including an 8.06 ERA in his last five starts. Now Lynn has had success against the Royals, and the Royals offloaded some pieces at the deadline, but they’ve still got a decent lineup that can hit and the White Sox for the most part have played a lot less effective at home and Brady Singer’s thrown back-to-back seven inning shutouts in his last two starts against the White Sox. If the White Sox are going to win here, it’s going to be tight as I expect Lynn to have some issues once again and Singer’s quietly emerged as KC’s staff ace this season, posting a 2.97 road ERA, a .206 opponent batting average on the road and a 2.05 ERA across five starts in July. Give me the Royals +1.5 here.
