I’d be willing to argue that Taijuan Walker’s been the #2 in the Mets rotation this season, obviously because Jacob deGrom just made his debut this week and I still think that Max Scherzer’s the ace, but it’s fairly close as Walker’s been outstanding at Citi Field with a sub-2.00 ERA. Atlanta counters with Ian Anderson and while Anderson’s been alright, he’s been extremely lucky to get as many wins as he has, especially on the road where he has allowed four or more runs in four of his last six starts boasting a 6.30 road ERA in that six start stretch. Walker’s just been the more consistent pitcher and so far in these high-stakes division matchups, the series prior to the all-star break and Thursday’s opener, they’ve had Atlanta’s number. The plus money with the Braves is tempting, butI’ll lay the juice with the Mets at home with the far more consistent starter here.

Chris’s Pick New York Mets: -125
