Toronto Blue Jays (5-6) vs Seattle Mariners (4-7)

I’m on the Blue Jays in this one. I get why the Mariners are worth a look as George Kirby’s had one good start and one bad this season and he’s still one of the key cogs of this Mariners rotation. However, I didn’t love what I saw against him against a Cleveland lineup not necessarily known for their offense, as Cleveland got to Kirby for 8 runs, 6 earned, over just 3.2 innings of work. Chris Bassitt had issues in his first two starts, but both game on the road and at home, Bassitt was far more effective last year in his first season with Toronto, with a 2.86 ERA and .196 opponent batting average. I think Bassitt has a solid bounce back start at home here and I think Toronto wins game two here.
