Atlanta’s playing some solid basketball lately, winning three straight and scoring in bunches. Here’s the problem. The Hornets have won 7 of 8 and well the knock that was always on Charlotte about not being able to play defense? Just being offense first? Well the Hornets have shut those critics up by allowing 111 points or less in those seven wins, including allowing 106 and 99 points to the defending champion Bucks, 98 at Philadelphia, 87 on the road against the Knicks, 102 on the road at Boston and thumping the Thunder by 23, holding them to just 98 points. The Hornets still have a lethal offense and I need to see more from the Hawks defensively before giving them the benefit of the doubt here. Give me the Hornets laying the bucket.
