Philadelphia Eagles (16-3) vs Kansas City Chiefs (16-3)

I’m backing the Eagles here. Kansas City has the edge at quarterback, but outside of that, I feel that the Eagles have the edge across the board except maybe at tight end. Philadelphia’s defense is stacked, with Haason Reddick logging a sack in eight of the Eagles’ last 10 games and Philadelphia has three guys in Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham and Javon Hargrave have combined for 33 sacks with 11 sacks apiece this season. It’s also worth noting, that Kansas City has had one good quarter in two super bowls with Mahomes, but outside of the 4th quarter against San Francisco, the Chiefs have been outscored 51-19 in the other seven quarters in their last two super bowl appearances. The Eagles are playing with a ton of confidence and swagger right now and even with two weeks to heal, I have to truly wonder how healed up Mahomes’ ankle actually is. There’s also the little nugget that no MVP in the 21st century has won the MVP award and the super bowl in the same season. If you are someone that believes in money movement, in the history of the Super Bowl, there have been 18 times where the line has moved 1.5 points or more from the opening line and the team that the line move favored has gone 16-2 SU and 14-4 ATS. The line started at Chiefs -2 and has shifted to the Eagles being favored. I’m rolling with the Eagles to lift the Lombardi trophy here.
