The Los Angeles Clippers and the Washington Wizards collide at the Capital One Arena on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their past 13 games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting stopped by the Knicks in a 110-102 road loss on Sunday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 26 points and five assists on 10 of 18 shooting, Ivica Zubac scored 17 points with 14 rebounds and three blocks while Luke Kennard chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot 43 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Knicks to get off to a quick start and were always trailing after allowing 39 points in the first quarter, before scoring just 20 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 14 points.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past five games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting routed by the Celtics in a 116-87 home loss on Sunday. Bradley Beal led the team with 19 points and seven assists, Deni Avdija added 13 points off the bench while Kyle Kuzma chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Wizards shot just 35 percent from the field and eight of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and scored just 20 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 15 points at halftime and things only got worse in the second half where the deficit only grew. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with just eight points on three of 11 shooting while Spencer Dinwiddie scored just four points on one of 12 shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Wizards are 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games, 1-14-1 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 23-9 in the last 32 meetings overall and the Clippers are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The Clippers are again without Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Jason Preston, while the Wizards are just about at full strength which is a rarity in the league this season. The Clippers could really do with a win to get their season back on track after getting beaten by the Knicks on Sunday and you could say the same thing about the Wizards who got blown out by the Celtics in their last outing. I want to take the Wizards at the short line at home, but they are only 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. This should be a close one, so I'm taking the Clippers and the points in a game they could win outright.
