The Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans face off on Sunday in a Week 3 NFL showdown at Nissan Stadium. Last November, the Colts knocked off the TItans 45-26.

The Colts have started the season with an 0-2 record, and they have some serious issues heading into this game. Carson Wentz is dealing with two sprained ankles, and it seems signs are pointing towards him not going. It’s unclear who will start if Wentz can’t go, but rumors are that Jacob Eason and Brett Hundley could split the reps. The two play completely different styles, so how that would work out would be interesting to watch play out. On defense, the Colts have had some issues giving up 27.5 points per game. No matter who is under center, the Colts defense is going to need to be better.

On the other side of this matchup is the Tennessee Titans who lost their first game of the season against the Arizona Cardinals, before beating the Seattle Seahawks in overtime in Week 2. Derrick Henry is one of the best running backs in the league and in the last game he rushed 35 times for 182 yards and three touchdowns. The Titans are averaging 23 points per game while their defense is giving up 34 points. It’s clear the Titans' defense is a big issue, so when they are going to come away with the victories it’s going to be about the offense running up the score.

The Colts are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games. The Titans are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. The Colts are 14-5 against the spread in their last 19 meetings. The favorite is 7-2 against the spread. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between the Titans and Colts. The road team is 5-0 against the spread in the last five meetings.

This has been a series dominated by the favorite, and it’s going to be no different in this game. The quarterback issues for the Colts is a big concern for me, and they aren’t going to be built for a shootout with their backup quarterback. Look for the Titans to win this game and cover the spread.
