The Dallas Wings and Phoenix Mercury face off in their 11th game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy on Sunday.

The Dallas Wings this season have been ultra inconsistent this year, and that is a big problem as they try to continue to have success this season. Coming into this game the Wings have really struggled losing three games in a row. In the Wings last game against the Seattle Storm the offense could only manage 65 points and that led to the blowout loss. On the season the Wings are averaging 77.6 points and 82.9 points per game.

The Wings best player this season has been Arike Ogunbowale who comes into this game averaging 20.4 points per game. Satou Sabally has also found a lot of success averaging 11.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Phoenix Mercury who have been strong this season. In the Mercury’s last game, against the Atlanta Dream the offense was elite putting up 96 points and that led to the easy blowout victory. This has been an offense that has been running up the score against almost everyone. On the season the Mercury are averaging 87.7 points per game while giving up 84.9 points per game. In the Mercury’s last game it was Bria Hartley who was the team’s best player putting up 24 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game.

This season the best player for the Mercury has been Bria Hartley who comes into this game averaging 17.1 points. 4.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. Brittney Griner is also one of the Mercury’s best player averaging 17 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

The Mercury are the better team and with the way the Wings offense is struggling, there is no reason to believe that they are going to keep this game close. Look for the Mercury to run up the score and the Wings are going to be in trouble. Back the Mercury to win this game and cover the spread.
