It’s a full slate of games across the NBA on Tuesday with 11 games taking place and there are plenty of solid picks to make your day a winning one. Let’s look at a breakdown and a free pick for each game.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Detroit Pistons
The Minnesota Timberwolves looked impressive in their last game against the Orlando Magic winning 128-96. At halftime, the Timberwolves had already put up 74 points and that was the difference in the game. Against the Pistons, the Wolves should have no issues running up the score and that will be the difference as the Timberwolves come away with the cover of the spread.
Play: Timberwolves ATS
Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Hornets
Not having Jamal Murray seems to have caught with the Denver Nuggets as of late. The Nuggets have lost two games in a row and in the last game against the Brooklyn Nets, they gave up 125 points and that was the difference as the Nuggets were able to win the game and cover the spread.
Play: Nuggets ATS
Miami Heat at Boston Celtics
These two teams just faced off Sunday and it was the Miami Heat that were able to come away with the 130-124. The Celtics have been handed a big blow with it being announced that Jaylen Brown is now out for the season. Even without Brown in this game, I expect this game to be a lot like Sunday’s game. Look for the Heat and Celtics to run up the score and for the over to cash.
Play: Over
Los Angeles Clippers at Toronto Raptors
These two teams faced off last week and it was the Clippers that were able to come away with the 105-100 victory. The Clippers offense hasn’t been as strong as of late and I expect both teams are going to struggle to score in this game. Look for a lower-paced game that stays under the total.
Play: Under
Philadelphia 76ers at Indiana Pacers
The Pacers as of late have been playing no defense and both teams have been running up the score. Each of the last two games for the Pacers have gone over 255 and even though they are on the second night of a back to back, there is going to be no shortage of scoring in this game. Back the over.
Play: Over
Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have all of a sudden turned it on and are looking really good right now. The Bulls have won the last three games over the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, and Detroit Pistons. Two games ago against the Celtics the defense only gave up 99 points. The Bulls defense might not be as strong in this game, but it’s still going to do enough to keep this game close. Back the Bulls against the spread.
Play: Bulls ATS
Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies had a tough game on Monday night against the New Orleans Pelicans and tired legs are going to be a serious issue for them in this game. Each of the last two games for the Mavericks they have given up less than 100 points, and the Grizzlies offense is going to struggle to score in this game. Back the Mavericks against the spread.
Play: Mavericks ATS
Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks
Until the Milwaukee Bucks decide to play some defense, they are going to continue to be an over team. In the last game the Bucks scored 141 points against the Houston Rockets, but they also ave up 131 points and I expect they are going to continue to struggle to play any sort of defense in this game. The pace of this game is going to be fast with neither team making many stops.
Play: Over
Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors
The Suns have shown a few holes in their games as of late including their last game against the Los Angeles Lakers they lost 123-110. This is a team that was also taken to overtime by the Cleveland Cavaliers and lost to the Atlanta Hawks in the last few weeks. Their defense hasn’t been strong as of late and the Warriors are going to take advantage. Back the Warriors to cover the spread.
Play: Warriors ATS
Oklahoma City Thunder at Sacramento Kings
These two teams just faced off on Sunday and it was the Kings that were able to come away with the 126-98 victory. The Thunder’s offense has been an issue this season and it will continue to be the thing that lets them down in this game. Look for the Kings defense to lock down the Thunder and that will be the difference as the Kings cover the spread.
Play: Kings ATS
New York Knicks at Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are hoping to get LeBron James back for this game, but even if they don’t have him, I like them to get the job done. The Lakers in the last game against the Suns put up 123 points and they are going to run up the score again in this game. The Knicks whose offense has been inconsistent will struggle, and the Lakers will cover the spread. This is the top play on the board.
Play: Lakers ATS
