Money Bag Monday #1

This is the matchup we’ve all been waiting for.  1 vs 2.  Both of these teams have been a cut above all season long and are evenly matched, but Gonzaga showed a weakness against UCLA that Baylor will exploit.  Gonzaga showed an inability to close out on perimeter and with Baylor’s number 1 ranked three-point shooting, the Bears will make the Bulldogs pay.  Also, Baylor has the superior defense and it will be extremely difficult for Gonzaga’s guards to penetrate the lane.  They won’t stop the number 1 offense in the country, but they’ll slow Gonzaga just enough and will be able to get key stops late.  Baylor’s big men will also be effective in defending Gonzaga’s bigs and I can see Timme getting into foul trouble.  This will be a very close game with both teams trading baskets throughout, but because Baylor has the decided advantage defensively and will have better opportunities on the offensive end, I expect Gonzaga to falter late and Baylor to pull off the upset and stopping a perfect season.  Baylor will win the Championship; take them on the Money Line.
