Towson Tigers (5-0) vs Fairfield Stags (0-4)

My math model only favors Towson by 7.8 points in this game and the Stags are 7-3 ATS in their last ten neutral-site affairs. Fairfield made a run to the MAAC championship two years ago (lost to Iona) and fourth-year head coach Jay Young has the talent, depth and experience to make a similar run in 2022-23. “I think 1-13 scholarship-wise, this is our deepest team,” Young said over the summer. Fairfield’s backcourt improved overnight with the arrival of Bowling Green transfer Caleb Fields, who currently leads in the team in scoring (15.8 ppg) on 50.0% shooting from the field and 48.0% from beyond the arc. Senior Jake Wojcik and sophomore TJ Long both return and provide the Stags with continuity and leadership in the backcourt. Fairfield’s frontcourt is led by junior Supreme Cook, who finished third in the conference in rebounding last year and is averaging a team-high 5.0 rebounds per game this season. Cook has been extremely efficient inside, averaging 13.3 points per game on 60.0% shooting from the field. Senior Allan Jeanne-Rose is pulling down 4.5 rebounds per game and gives the Stags much-needed size. Fairfield has played a more difficult schedule to date and was competitive against Wake Forest and Xavier, covering the spread in both contests. Grab the inflated number with Fairfield and invest with confidence.
