It should be a battle of two big name backs but Saquon Barkley is looking more like the focal of his teams offense.   He rushed for 164 yards and a TD in week one vs the Titans. 

Expect another big performance from him as Carolina gave up 217 rushing yards to the Browns. What’s worse for the Pathers, they haven’t covered the spread in their last 8 games. 

New York did beat Carolina last season by 22 points, but that without Baker Mayfield and Christian McCaffrey.  A win and the Giants will start 2-0 for just the second time in 13 years.

Some trends to consider. Panthers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall, and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog. Versus the Giants the Panthers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings, and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in New York.
