Iowa Hawkeyes (6-0) vs Purdue Boilermakers (3-2)

Purdue's defense has had enough success this season for the Boilermakers to keep Saturday's game with the #2 ranked Hawkeyes very close. Purdue's offense only mustered 13 points last week against Minnesota, but the team also earned 448 yards in total. Not executing in prime scoring opportunities is what cost Purdue a win last week, but those simple mistakes can be fixed. Iowa's defense has been unreal this season but the offense has been about average, if not below average in some categories. Iowa is only earning 3.2 yards per attempt and Spencer Petras, despite having a good season, has not wowed anyone with his production. I think this is a low-scoring, classic Big Ten bout where the first team to 20 points wins. In that case, this is way too many points to be laying with Iowa. You may think Iowa has a strong home-field advantage, but it is important to note that the home team is 1-10 against the spread in the last 11 meetings between these two teams. I will take the points with Purdue in what should be an entertaining battle.
