Iowa Hawkeyes (1-1) vs Nevada Wolf Pack (2-1)

Iowa's offense has been an eyesore but the defense is what has me liking the Hawkeyes here, even at this large spread. Iowa's defense could be top-10 in the country, let alone the tough Big 10. Nevada is not the same high-flying and potent offensive team we saw last year with Strong at QB, and I would not be shocked to see the Wolf Pack shutout in this one. Iowa's offense is better than the misery we have seen in Weeks 1 and 2, and I expect the Hawkeyes to trust in their ground game to chip away at Nevada in this game, similar to what we see fellow Big Ten team Wisconsin do in similar games. When you lay this many points with a bad offense there is not a lot of room for error, but if that team finds itself covering the number early on, it is nearly impossible for the other side to find a way back in, even through the backdoor. I expect Iowa to be up by 24+ by the third quarter and not look back. Give me the Hawkeyes laying the lumber.
