Ron's Thursday College Football Play of the Night

The home team has been a miserable 2-8 against the spread and because of Utah State's early-season struggles, we are getting a great price with the road team here. Utah State outgained UNLV by 101 total yards last week but lost the game by 10. A -6 in the turnover differential will do that, but I expect a much sharper performance by the Aggies as they look to take care of the football. BYU is one of the more penalized teams in the country and that does not bode well against a fast-paced offense like Utah State that does not let you take a moment to regroup. You would think with Logan Bonner's struggles that Utah State's OL was not giving him much time to throw, but this Utah St OL has been the best part of this offense, only allowing four sacks all year long including not giving up a single sack against Alabama! Utah State's defense is not great but the offense is improving and in a rivalry game that has been very close with five upsets in the last 10 meetings, I have to take the boatload of points with Utah State. I expect a very high-scoring game where both teams go back-and-forth, and although I like BYU to win outright in the end, I think Utah State covers the number.
