Ron's Thursday CFL Play of the Night

Montreal had a lot of empty possessions vs. Edmonton last week and we know the Elks were basically on the same level as Ottawa last year. The Redblacks took down the Alouettes in the final week of preseason and then earned an outright upset in Week 1 of the regular season vs. Winnipeg as a steep dog. I don't love backing teams off big upset wins, especially if they are on the road and a dog again as we see here, but the key difference is the fact that Ottawa had the bye week in Week 2, so I am not as worried about a letdown, especially with a team that was in dead last in 2023 and still has a lot to prove. I think this is a low-scoring game and with the weather not looking outstanding leading up to this one, I think points will be at a premium. I agree with the line move in this one as while I'd love to have 9.5 in my pocket (where the line was when it opened) I still see a lot of value at 6.5 here as I think this is a field goal game either way. Give me the points with Ottawa.
